Event Description
Out in the Night follows the story of four black lesbians charged and convicted for assaulting a man who attacked them on the street in New York City. The award-winning documentary examines the resulting court case and the role that race, gender identity, and sexuality play in the criminal justice system. Running time: 82 min. Director blair dorosh-walther and Patreese Johnson, one of the convicted women, facilitate a discussion after the screening, with a reception following.
