At left, scene between a man (identified as Rikiya) and his betrothed (Konami). The man shows embarrassment by skratching neck with fan handle. A woman (identified as the mother of Konami, Tonase) listens behind a sliding door. At right, scene between two figures (identified as Honzo and Wakanozuke) where the figure on the left is striking a branch off a pine tree bonsai. Scene recessed in Western perspective (uki-e).
